Oh, there is now a convenient link to such a portable download on the homepage - isn't that nice? This means that if you call the executable rufus_2.0p.exe, Rufus will automagically activate its portable mode.
Also, if any part of the executable name contains a ' p' (for portable), Rufus will create a rufus.ini if one doesn't already exists, and use that one.
